This law has been given to us by Jesus Himself, in His own words; "A new commandment I give to you, that you LOVE one another, as I have loved you, that you ALSO love one another." - John 13:34.
When a person receives and appreciates the priceless, precious gift that's called "divine love," the LIFE of that person (with all its motives, aims and endeavors,) undergoes a fundamental change.
Sometimes this change is a gradual change, other times in the twinkling of an eye.... Nevertheless, when a person's really saved, when a person's really 'born again,' the old person dies.
A NEW person's born!
Pride disappears, and in its stead, humbleness and meekness appears.
Greed and selfishness vanishes, and generosity and benevolence takes their place.
Anger and bitterness (that once controlled the person's actions,) gives place to kindness and sweetness of temperament.
Hatred that once had a sway over the emotions dissolves into nothingness....
Then, life becomes SWEET for that person, in a sense that they never knew before :-)
In other words, dear reader, when a person's Christian conversion is REAL, the world becomes a different world for them.
They no longer react to things in the ways they reacted before, and they see things in a whole new light.
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a NEW creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." - 2 Corinthians 5:17.
Yes, when you're in Jesus you're a new creature!
Furthermore, being a new person, and a better person, you LOVE others - because that's the law of Christian life - that 'love begets love.'
Brothers and sisters, have you really appropriated that new principle in your life, that love begets love?
Moreover, do you treat others as you'd like to be treated?
TRUE Christian followers of Jesus have appropriated that principle. They also show, and treat others with KINDNESS, as well as love others with the unselfish kind of love that Jesus has.
Innocent, yet wise....
When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, it isn't just about belief in Him. It's about learning to love as JESUS did, and being 'born again' as a whole new creature.
We're also obeying his commandment, yes commandment, that we love one another as HE has loved us.
However, no one can receive or demonstrate this priceless gift of God, unless it's sought in the spirit of meekness and reverence. But thankfully, 'he that seeks shall find,' 'he that knocks, it shall be opened to him,' and 'the one that asks shall receive.'
Nevertheless, let us never forget that TODAY is the day of salvation, today is the day to love.
Tomorrow may be too late.
Much love,Melina xxx
